New York Stage and Film will honor Golden Boy star Tony Shalhoub and Tony-winning producer Roger Horchow (Annie) at their Annual Winter Gala. The event is scheduled for December 9 at the Plaza Hotel.
The evening will include performances by Annie's Lilla Crawford, David Hyde Pierce and Billy Porter. Guests like Kathleen Marshall, Lily Rabe, John Patrick Shanley, Duncan Sheik, John Slattery, Talia Balsam, Susan Stroman, Jon Tenney, Alex Timbers and Jennifer Westfeldt will be on-hand to show support and celebrate with the honorees.
Shalhoub is currently starring as Mr. Bonaparte in Lincoln Center Theater's Broadway production of Golden Boy. He won three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe for his work on Monk. His other TV and film credits include Spy Kids, Men in Black, Men in Black II, Thirteen Ghosts, Galaxy Quest, 1408, Barton Fink, Big Night, The Siege, Cars, Cars 2 and The Man Who Wasn't There.
Horchow produced his first Broadway show in 1992, the Gershwin musical Crazy for You, and earned a Tony for Best Musical. He also staged a revival of Cole Porter's Kiss Me, Kate, for which he won his second Tony. In 2007, Horchow produced John Kander and Fred Ebb's Curtains, a musical murder mystery nominated for multiple Tony Awards.
